Soft feathers and long ears

Easter is a good for spending time in big red armchairs, reading books and drinking tea.

And warming up cold feet in front of a chimney.

"Weicher Flaum und lange Ohren" made our day. We found this sweet event at Naturama in Aarau thanks to the e-newsletter from Transhelvetica.

You could not only hang out with the chickens, but also make your own chocolate Easter bunny. This is Switzerland as its best!

Can you become addicted to chocolate? Go and see this small and sweet girl in yellow, and she will give you the answer. Or come and see me. :)

The experts…

There is one thing I'm sure about: the world would be a better place if more people would do their own chocolate Easter bunnies!

Spring is here in all its glory!

Birds are waking up, singing out loud

The sun is setting through flower trees

Windows framed with flowers

Sunny streets

And confetti covered streets

New born leaves

...and all the beautiful shadows are back!

Favorit i repris

Café Hubertus in Zurich opened its doors a few weeks ago. The first time, I went here with a dear friend, two kids and a fox. The second time I visited this place was today, with my dear friend Nina. It was great being here on a very ordinary Friday morning. Or as you would say it in Swedish; det var jättemysigt!

I think I know what this sweetie is looking for. Could it be the sports results, or maybe the chess tournaments.

A swan, a candle and some everyday life out there.

That wonderful day off

Frau Meise in Baden with Ellika this morning. It's such a clever thing to work part time and have one more day off per week! :)

Eine Meise? Does anyone know? However, we gladly welcomed her to join us for breakfast.

Enjoying life on an island

A few weeks ago, I discovered a new side of myself, and so did my mom. On vacation, I usually don't really care about the hotel were I stay (at least not if I travel to sunny destinations), I prefer small hotels instead of big and I use to choose being-active before doing-nothing. But this time it was different. It was me choosing a big and rather exclusive hotel and I loved doing-nothing, like….

…doing some knitting at the airport in Lisboa, waiting for the flight to Madeira.

…taking pictures of cactuses with pastels in the background.

…laying next to the pool, for ever and ever. Reading a lovely book, go for a swim or just observe the palms and the people and saying hi to the sun.

...I loved having waffles for breakfast… Nothing else should be allowed.

…thank you dear bowls of sunshine and I wouldn't say no to prosecco for breakfast every morning either.

…I couldn't stop smelling at all the flowers.

Well, there is a sporty side of me as well (and of my mother!), so we did some great hiking tours to steep hills and rocky mountains...

Our shoes were not as stable as the Germans' and our shorts were not kaki-brown. But can you imagine, we were able to hike anyhow. Fast and very happy.

I also thought of kissing a frog in the botanical garden.

We enjoyed the sea!

And we visited the market.

And a tourist shop or two.

But nothing was better than being here. Just here. Simply doing nothing.
